Ibis Golf & Country Club, FL: Training for high schoolers.
> Ibis Golf & Country Club, West Palm Beach FL recently held its third annual Club Tour and Etiquette Lunch for 100 area high school students interested in careers in the hospitality or culinary industries. Students who attended participate in their schools’ hospitality and culinary academies.
The program is part of CareerSource, a non-profit chartered by the state to aid in job preparedness, job placement and skills training. Ibis funds the Etiquette Lunch as part of its “community give-back.” Send me more information about Ibis Golf & Country Club!
Balsam Mountain Preserve, NC: Upcoming golf matches.
> Balsam Mountain Preserve, Sylva NC and its golf associations are set for the 2014 Individual Net Match Play series of competitions. Men’s Division entrants are limited to the first 16 signups. Women’s Division entrants are limited to the first eight, four each in the 9-hole and 18-hole flights.
