Canon U.S.A.'s Legal Division is currently seeking a qualified Associate Counsel to join their corporate legal team.

Responsibilities:

Practice areas include a concentration in advertising, social media, privacy and intellectual property, as well as contract, product distribution, licensing and other commercial matters.

The successful candidate will provide legal counsel and professional support regarding advertising and marketing issues, social media matters, behavioral advertising, website development and corporate commercial transactional matters and draft and negotiate related contracts. Must be a team player, have the ability to work under pressure for multiple clients and meet deadlines. Additionally, the counsel is expected to develop creative legal approaches in pursuit of the objectives of the Company.

Qualifications:

The position requires a Juris Doctor. A minimum of 5 years of progressive legal experience with exposure to large corporate entities a must. The incumbent must be a member of the NY State Bar and demonstrate an ability to work across various groups both within our Legal Department and throughout various Canon USA businesses.
