Luanne

Hi, there Luanne here, Chief Goddess and global gatherer at Goddess on Purpose and today's Goddess on Purpose tip is about organisation.

Quite often people have been asking me how I keep organised and how to stop the overwhelm. I had a conversation with somebody the other day about how she was feeling quite overwhelmed of all these tasks that she has and she actually called herself she actually has ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). It's not really that we have ADD, we're so creative we have all these ideas coming and how do we organise it and how do we not lose an idea which has quite often happened to me.

My little tip, if you just have a look at my office space, you'll see I have all these post-it notes. What I'm going to be sharing with you is this is how I do it. I have all tis different coloured post-it notes and when I get an idea, that first thing that I do is I write it down. Whatever it is, it could be an idea for a blog, it could be an idea for an event, and also it can be a to-do item. What am I suppose to be doing that day, and everything. What I do is write it down here (post-it notes) and then I go put it up on this one here (white paper board stuck on the wall). What I do is I get one of these (white paper board stuck on the wall) and I put it on sections. I put them on sections  Today, This Week, This Month, Projects that I have in my brain, and just Off-Loads and that's any idea that doesn't go to one of these.

So what  I do then is tomorrow, or today, I'm going to look at all the things that I have to do today and I will just stick all these sticky-notes here.

These are the things that I want to do this week so they actually get moved form This Week to Today and then I'll just work on those things today.

This Month again, monthly things, but I'm not probably not be done this week and not done that day but they sit in here.

And then all the projects that I'm working on and probably the ones that I will create, so I put all the projects there, I mean there's a lot of projects there but then they would go to this month they would move as I am working on.

That's one-way of getting them all out. I'm very visual so I love with the colours and what I'd do to start this off, I would just sit there, and just start write dumping one task for every post-it note and just start that way.

Get it all out so that it's out of here because it's going to clutter up your brain. You don't think that you've got ADD and then the next step would be either to put it on projects, this month, this week, today and then off-loads.

That off-load section is any idea that I get, anything, I'll just write it down and sometimes these off-loads, they don't actually make it onto the projects, it's just I need to get it out and then it may be a good idea, it may not be.

That's actually the way that I like to work here as well. You also see I've got my 90-day plan here so I work  90 locks and I'll just write it down, stick it up on the board. All of those things have a sticky note here. And then this is my yearly, the next 12 months. Again, I'll put in what my events are into each month, colour coded, very visual so I can go look at it.

This one over here is just one of the project I was working on. The project will have its own sticky note and then I would start downloading about that one project, and in this case, it's the Goddess Inner Circle. And I wanted to know what the system was, everything that I wanted to create in that project.

That's my system, hopefully this has helped you. You can take what you want from it; leave bits that you don't like. Many blissings, bye for now.
