When the show first premiered in 2013, Creative Artists Agency TV literary agent Peter Micelli estimated Netflix spent south of $4 million per episode of "Orange Is the New Black," according to an interview with Variety. Do the math and the cost of the first season of OITNB was around $50 million -- and it appears Netflix is getting its money's worth. Netflix revenue was $1.57 billion in the first quarter of 2015, and is up to $1.97 billion, according to 2016's first quarter earnings.
