Alabama: 5.10% APY

Guardian Credit Union has multiple locations in the Montgomery area and offers an impressive 5.10% APY on its Round-Up Savings account with interest paid quarterly.

The Round-Up Savings account is available with Guardian Credit Union's Young & Free Checking Account, which is available fee-free to young adults ages 18 to 25. When the account holder enrolls in the Round-Up Savings program, the credit union will automatically round each debit purchase up to the nearest dollar and deposit this "change" into a connected savings account. The deposit products considered in this study were CDs and share certificates with terms up to five years, savings accounts, and checking accounts.
