The procurement community is poised to meet in Birmingham to tackle the challenge of cutting costs while maintaining service quality.

Supported by the Department of Health and the Crown Commercial Service, P4H – The Procurement Event for Health – arrives at the International Convention Centre on 9 July.

P4H – organised by BiP Solutions – is an opportunity for all within the NHS supply chain to engage, collaborate and learn. It tackles the issues at the heart of NHS procurement – a sector worth in excess of £20bn annually.

P4H brings together key NHS organisations and new and existing suppliers to the sector. The event delivers a mix of thought provoking seminars from procurement leaders and influencers, personal development via CPD accredited training and access to those directly involved in buying decisions. Invited speakers include the new Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Health, David Prior.

Supporting NHS organisations include NHS Supply Chain, NHS Commercial Solutions, The East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub, the NHS London Procurement Partnership, NHS North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative and NHS Shared Business Services. NHS and other public sector buyers can attend for free whereas suppliers can apply for part funded delegate places.

Simon Burges, COO at BiP Solutions said: “We are delighted with the support that P4H 2015 has received. The demand for delegate places, partnerships with NHS organisations and strong exhibitor bookings demonstrate that we are fulfilling a clear need for direct engagement in a sector that is undergoing major change. We believe all involved, and NHS procurement generally, will benefit hugely from this event.”
