New guy here, but not a Chevy/GM Fanboy...no offense.
My brother in-law purchased a new 2014 Sierra 1500 and he's looking to do some upgrades (anything done to this "truck" will be a major upgrade).
He recently accompanied me and 80 other Raptors on a FORD RAPTOR Excursion for 600 off-roading miles through the snowy Upper Penesula of Michigan and he's bitten by the "Mod Bug."
I don't have a clue about anything Gov't Motors, so I came here asking for guidance.
MODS:
1). We're looking at getting him better tires than the stock ones. Possibly a more "agressive" All-Terrain tire. What's the largest size tire we can cram on the stock rim at stock ride height?
2). Maybe a leveling kit. What's the general consenious on Leveling Kits and what brands do you all like?
3) Rear Spring AAL. Probably end up going with either Altas or a General AAL.
4). Behind the grille Light Bars (if possible). Who makes brackets? Has anyone mounted a light bar behind the grille? It's common in the F-150 and Raptor community due to their grilles and supports, but I don't know if it's possible the way GM makes their grilles and plastic shrouds.
5). Cat Back Exhaust. Open to suggestions. I have a MBRP Turn Down on my truck and he really likes the deep rumble, but he thinks it might be too much for his wife and children.
6). Headlights! His stock lights are horrbile. What can we replace those with?
