Pope Benedict XVI has presented the "Ratzinger Prize" for theology to American Jesuit Brian E. Daley, S.J. and to French philosopher and historian RĂ©mi Brague. The Prize is awarded by the Joseph Ratzinger (Benedict XVI) Vatican Foundation, chaired by Monsignor Giuseppe Antonio Scotti. In his speech after the presentation of the awards, Pope Benedict summed up the research of the two scholars, which has focused on ecumenism and interreligious dialogue.
