Hilton Worldwide announced the Conrad San Juan Condado Plaza has been renamed and rebranded as The Condado Plaza Hilton. The 571-room property joins more than 550 Hilton hotels and resorts in 79 countries across six continents and represents the fourth Hilton brand hotel on the island of Puerto Rico. “Puerto Rico holds special significance to Hilton Hotels & Resorts, as Hilton International was launched with the opening of the Caribe Hilton, San Juan in 1949, and then enjoyed having the San Geronimo Hilton in its portfolio for several years,” said Danny Hughes, senior vice president of Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America for Hilton Worldwide. “We are proud to reconnect this hotel with its roots, both as The Condado Plaza and as a member of Hilton Hotels & Resorts.” Other Hilton properties in Puerto Rico include the Caribe Hilton, San Juan; El San Juan Resort & Casino, A Hilton Hotel; and Hilton Ponce Golf & Casino Resort.
