Advance polls in Vancouver’s civic election are set to open their doors this week. Eight advance polling locations will be open from Nov. 4 to 10 and Nov. 12. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Here is a list of Vancouver civic election advance polls:

Roundhouse Community Centre – 181 Roundhouse Mews
West End Community Centre – 870 Denman St.
Thunderbird Community Centre – 2311 Cassiar St.
Sunset Community Centre – 6810 Main St.
Killarney Community Centre – 6260 Killarney St.
Kitsilano Community Centre – 2690 Larch St.
Kerrisdale Community Centre – 5851 West Blvd
City Hall – 453 West 12th Ave.

Nearly 120 polls will be open on election day, Saturday, Nov. 15.

The City has touted the fact that there are more advance polls than in previous municipal elections, but some say more is not necessarily better. Last month, a Vancouver man filed a formal complaint with the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal claiming that the advance polls are located in areas that shut out residents in the Downtown Eastside, East Hastings, Mount Pleasant and the Grandview-Woodlands neighbourhoods, with preferential treatment given to wealthier people living in Vancouver’s westside.

Below is a map of all Vancouver election polling locations. Advance polls are highlighted in red.
