Jakarta - Indah Nevertari was crowned to be the champion of Rising Star Indonesia last night (19/12/2014). She went ahead of the competition among the four competing finalists of the singing competition: Indah Nevertari, Hanin Dhiya, Ghaitsa Kenang, and Bluesmates.
Bluesmates, the only remaining band, was the first to be eliminated in the final stage. Afterwards, Ghaitsa Kenang, the sweet girl from Pontianak, was unexpectedly eliminated in the second round which left Indah and Hanin to battle for the top position.
Hanin was the first to perform and she chose a single entitled “Yang Terbaik” or “The Best” and then, it was Indah’s turn.
Wearing a beautiful red dress, Indah captivated the audience with her upbeat song “Come N Love Me” in which she rapped for some of the parts. Indah admitted that she is less comfortable when she has to sing like a rapper. However, Indonesian people seem to love her figure as a rapper with hijab. As the giant screen was lifted up, the lady from Medan was officially the champion of Rising Star Indonesia.
“Congratulations to Indah Nevertari,” said Judika, one of the experts in the final, as quoted by okezone.
The victory entitled Indah to a recording contract worth IDR 1 billion and a car. Check out her final performance in the video below:
