While re-vamping marketing techniques, reviewing what works and what doesn’t, and in keeping up with the ever-changing marketing world, I have been fortunate to learn from some of the very best professionals out there.

My Audible account and Kindle reading list are both full of incredible insight, knowledge, and wisdom from different thought leaders and entrepreneurs, so I wanted to share with you books, blogs, and sites I have been studying over the last 8 months that have improved my health, career, and personal life.

1. The Invisible Close blog by Lisa Sasevich.

Known as the Queen of Sales Conversions, Lisa teaches her clients how to exponentially grow their speaking sales using Irresistible Offers, get massive results without being “salesy” and maximize profits with little to no marketing budget. Though I did go through her “Invisible Sales” training, her blog is also full of free and valuable information on speaking live, and how to convert sales to a live audience.

2. Recurring Revenue Revolution blog by Milana Leshinsky.

Milana offers so many free resources that it took me weeks to get through it all, but it was all incredibly valuable information. Milana teaches how to  create passive income for your current or future business, and how to enjoy it in the process. I was hesitant to create an online program that already seemed saturated, and I was worried I would get lost in the shuffle. But Milana reminds us that we each have a unique voice, and we reach people differently. Imagine if there was only one book on healthy dinner recipes. Or only one book on how to start a business. Or only one book on raising our kids. Think of all we would be missing! Her blog is gold, and her videos are excellent as well.

3. Eben Pagan.

What can we learn from a high school and college drop out? How to be a multi-millionaire online. I was intrigued by Eben because he literally started with nothing more than a computer in a bedroom, and created this crazy successful business in offering advice and training in various niches online. Sort of brilliant of you ask me. The site I linked above offers some free video training, but I also really enjoyed all of his free training and videos. I signed up to be on his mailing list, so I get all kinds of goodies when they are available. Definitely take notes.

4. Digital Marketer blog by Ryan Deiss.

I met Ryan once at a Christmas party a few years ago, as he is a fellow Austinite. You don’t even have to talk to him to see the focus and intention in his eye. He is always looking for ways to streamline processes, and offer golden ideas to his business associates, clients, and students. I spend time studying in his marketing lab every single day. He offers all kinds of solutions in his blog, through memberships, and through videos all over YouTube. It’s almost like a 2nd job keeping up with all the info, but it’s worth it to have such insight on marketing tools and trends.

5. Abundance by Peter Diamandis.

I’m not a very technical person, so this book took awhile to get through, but if artificial intelligence, robotics, infinite computing, ubiquitous broadband networks, digital manufacturing, nanomaterials, and synthetic biology excites you, then you will probably zip right through this fascinating book. Reading between the lines of what incredible strides we have made in technology, I saw so much more. Peter offers a new perspective on life and the planet. Instead of accepting the idea that the world is falling apart, people are getting more hateful and terrible, we are destroying all good things, and pretty soon we will all just die out, Peter shifts focus onto something more positive. Actually, he can prove that the world is in the best place it has ever been, and he offers chapter upon chapter to back up his theories. Technology is changing the way we live, and while it causes some negativity, overall, we have never experienced so much abundance, and it only gets better. He makes his case better than I could, so definitely check it out.

6. The Law of Success in Sixteen Lessons by Napoleon Hill.

You have probably read Think and Grow Rich, his most popular work, The Law of Success is a compilation of his work and research, offering an in-depth study of personal success and achievement. I was excited to find this because it confirmed a lot of what I learned from other personal-growth teachers, except almost better since he was so ahead of his time.

7. Mindvalley Insights from Vishen Lakhiani.

I saved the best for last. Not a day goes by that I don’t read or study something offered by Vishen or Mindvalley. Vishen’s vision (you like that?) or humanity is incredibly impressive, and he builds businesses and brands exclusively around pushing humanity forward in development, thought, health, career, relationships- you name it. Vishen is on a mission to reach 500 million people by the year 2050, and he and Mindvalley are well on their way. Mindvalley Insights is a newer project full of marketing, entrepreneur, and culture lessons open to the general public. Instead of keeping all of Mindvalley’s strategies a secret, Vishen decided to share it all, and believe me, it is a wealth of valuable information. You can search for free videos on Youtube or just go through each one on the blog. Excellent information from one of my absolute favorite entrepreneurs/thought leaders.

This ought to keep you busy for awhile. Let me know in the comments which of these you liked best, or if there was something in particular that one of these professionals said or offered that really resonated with you.
