Revenue and Customs (HMRC) opublikowało spis pracodawców, którzy nie płacą swoim pracownikom minimum wage. Jak się okazało, w Wielkiej Brytanii jest aż 115 takich firm. Przedsiębiorstwa są winne swoim pracownikom łącznie aż 400 tysięcy funtów.
Wśród znajdujących się na liście firm, są takie, które zalegają z wypłatą tylko jednemu pracownikowi, ale są też takie, gdzie pracowników czekających na należne pieniądze jest ponad tysiąc. Można się spodziewać, że większość ze spisu będą stanowiły niewielkie firmy, który próbują ciąć koszty. Przeciwnie, znakomitą większość stanowią duże i rozpoznawalne marki. Firmą, która jest winna swoim pracownikom najwięcej jest Monsoon Accessorize Ltd, które musi wypłacić 104,5 tysiąca funtów 1438 osobom. Kolejne firmy to Project Security UK Ltd, które musi zapłacić 24 tysiące funtów 18 zatrudnionym. Na trzecim miejscu jest Paterson SA Ltd, które zalega z wypłatą 3 tysięcy funtów 15 pracownikom.
W spisie znalazły się też polskie firmy. Margaret Jankowicz musi zapłacić 3 tysiące funtów 3 pracownikom, a Bartek Deli Enterprise Ltd zalega z wypłatę 110,50 jednemu pracownikowi.
