Consultant Application Packager - App V London Permanent Up to £50,000 plus 10% car plus benefits Key skills: App V sequencing / Application Packaging / Wise Package / UAT / test scripts / installation / App V Are you an experienced Application Packager? We at Capita Plc (FTSE 100) are looking for individuals that are experienced Application Packagers to join our newly formed Capita Justice and Secure Services division to be part of a new service offering. This is an extremely exciting and rare opportunity for those individuals looking to take their experience so far and their career in Application Packaging to the next level. You will certainly be joining at a time where if you are looking to really have influence on the future success of the business you can! We are extremely keen to hear from Application Packagers who wish the work in a role that encompasses the full lifecycle and in which you will get to work across this businesses vast and high profile clients portfolio.To apply for the role of Consultant Application Packager you will need the following:
* A current valid driving licence
* Experience of administering Citrix solutions using xendesktop/xenapp
* Experience of managing large scale desktop migration projects
* Application Packaging using Wise Package Studio 7 & 8
* App V sequencing - Server v4.5 sp2 Clients v4.6 sp1
* Discovery of applications that reside on each desktop system, grouping the applications by line of business, and determining which applications are necessary
* Knowledge of relevant application discovery tools essential
* Experience of logically grouping the applications into bundles and entered into a profile management system
* Gathering the requisite technical data about each application, including the installation source code, test scripts, installation and uninstallation instructions, and any configuration details
* Comfortable with liaising with third parties over the Compatibility with future OS's
* Experienced with using best practice toolsets to create software packages and QA them especially in locked down environments firstly in a test environment
* Comfortable in working with customers to carry out UAT in the customer environment to gain a real view of success and confidence with packages created
* Creation of packaging documentation from Manual install instructions to knowledge articles to assist packaging team members for problem solving
* Finally experience of deployment of packages through a deployment toolset essential
