The Kooks

As indie rock force The Kooks celebrate their ten years together with a ‘Best Of’ tour, Getintothis’ Amaan Khan anticipates their arrival in Liverpool.

It doesn’t seem too long ago when The Kooks arrived on the scene with their debut album Inside In/Inside Out, which not only received quadruple platinum status in UK in its first year but also reached quintuple platinum status just a month ago.

The Brighton four-piece signed to Virgin Records within three months of their formation and went on to release four albums including a UK Album Chart’s No.1, win MTV awards, play Glastonbury etc. Ten years on, the Brit-rock enthusiasts might not need any introductions for most music fans.

Are classic albums and greatest hits tour lazy, or a gift to fans?

To celebrate their decade long career, the band will embark on a seventeen shows long tour across the UK which will see them perform their greatest hits, some B-sides and a bit of new music that the band has been brewing over the year.

The tour stops by Liverpool’s Olympia on April 29, 2017.
