Technology and Enterprise Solutions Division (TESD) of SAIC
has a contingent job opening in Charleston, SC, for a
Configuration and Quality Assurance Manager to work within a
team-of-teams (3 at current) to incrementally develop,
deliver, and field command and control application in support
of Air Mobility Command. An award is expected in August
2012.JOB DESCRIPTION: The Configuration
and Quality Assurance Managerwill be
responsible for configuration management planning. Describes
provisions for configuration identification, change control,
configuration status accounting, and configuration audits. Is
responsible for configuration planning. Identifies and
maintains the original configuration of requirements
documentation, design documentation, software, and related
documentation. Is responsible for configuration change
control of a major software system. Regulates the change
process so that only approved and validated changes are
incorporated into product documents and related software. Is
responsible for configuration status accounting. Tracks all
problems and changes in product documents and software and
reports changes and current configuration. Is responsible for
configuration audits. Supports audits to verify that
requirements of all baselines have been met by the as-built
software. Supports software quality assurance process audits.
Supports software test
activities.Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or
GED. Formal training from: Technical School, or Class A or B
military school in electronics or communications, or four (4)
year apprentice program.Five (5) years with
training in quality assurance/quality control programs and
two (2) years of quality assurance/quality control experience
in various electronic system, subsystem or computer software
programs.DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Has
experience performing configuration management on programs
developing and delivering software for DoD customers. Has
experience in providing configuration management, including
data management, configuration identification and control,
release management, configuration status accounting, and
configuration auditing. Has experience in managing
configurations and tracking and control of changes to
requirements, products (hardware and software), and
documentation throughout the entire life cycle of a
development project. Has experience in maintaining and
administering configuration management tools. Has experience
in preparing builds for deployment to test and production
systems.DESIRED SKILLS: Ability to
generate metrics and reports to communicate configuration,
change, and release management activities. Knowledge of AMC
mission planning, scheduling, and execution, and TACC
operations. Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access,
PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, and SharePoint. Experience and
training within CMMI organizations is
desired.CERTIFICATIONS: DOD 8570.01-M
Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I certification
required.Must have or be able to obtain
