The modified E30 market tends to be more wild than mild, especially as it pertains to the ‘Stance’ crowd and swap-happy owners with endless supplies of S50s and S52s at their disposal. That’s why this 1991 325i sedan is so refreshing – it’s been tastefully modified with OEM parts to give it some extra personality without destroying its originality. An OEM rear sunshade, Husco armrest, and new BMW floormats (near impossible to find and going for big money on the used market currently) round out a nice list of upgrades that don’t involve hack-job engine transplants. Recent maintenance doesn’t necessarily indicate any big dollar repairs, but this indicates more that the car has enjoyed consistent attention rather than long periods of inactivity or neglect. This 325i gives me some good vibrations for sure – and now I’m on the hunt for a rear window shade…

PLEASE SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY!!! I DO NOT WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME OR MY TIME. PLEASE SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY!!!

The car up for auction is my wonderful beloved 1991 BMW 325i Sedan Schwarz Black on Black in 5 speed manual. This car has been a great weekend car since I owned it. I have gotten many compliments and thumps up when I am driving in it. I am sadly to let it go, since I have no time to use the car and now the car mostly sits in the garage collecting dust. I would like another BMW enthusiast would continue on the same care I took for this car. About the history of the car. I purchased this 1991 BMW 325i in September of 2011. The car has always been a California car and has California Clear title and is currently registered with tags and current stickers. The intention of this purchase was a restoration project to restore and to have a luxury weekend car to go cruise in. My goal for the car was to restore to factory perfect condition with all the optional rare equipment that BMW factory offered back in the 1980s for E30. I purchase the car from the 3rd previous owner when it was 108k miles. The previous owner did mention that he replaced the cluster around 200k miles due to cluster stop functioning. During the time I own the car for 4 years I have put on only 14k miles mostly weekend driving. The car currently has 122k and I will talk about the car in each section of its condition and what I have replaced or upgrade during my restoration project to the car to make it in perfect condition.

I have outlined the work I have done so far below; along with a list of things I think could still be done to further improve this vehicle.

Service History

Exterior: 9/10 Scale

The outside of the car is in perfect condition. The car has no rust since it has always been a California car. When I first purchase the car the original schwarz black paint was faded due to its 23 year of its life. So, I decided to paint the car same color it came from factory. During the process of the paint I have extensively stripped all the trim and molding to make sure the paint job was done correctly during the process. As you can see the in the picture the paint is very shiny and brand new besides the dust collected on the car from sitting in the garage. I also requested to get the window trim painted to get the sport package look that the IS E30 offers. All the doors and panels still contains its original vin number sticker when it left from factory. The car has never been in an accident. The rims are in perfect condition besides one wheel having a small curb rash. The tires are brand new has about 90% life. All the weather seals are in great condition no water leaks. The car also has a new IS OEM BMW front lip and Hella Ellipsoid headlights. The list below is what I have done to replace or upgrade for the car since I have owned it for the exterior.

Interior: 8.5/10 Scale

The inside of the car is great condition. During the years I owned the car I tried to replace all OEM BMW especially interior parts without any tear or ripes in the interior. I have replace new OEM BMW floor mats for the car. Upgraded to BMW M-tech steering wheel and shift knob. I do have the stock airbag steering wheel that will come with the car. I have upgraded a few things in the car like the 13 button OBC with signal stalk, which 4 doors sedans never came standard in. I upgraded the head unit to a new Alpine head unit, but still have the stock BMW unit that will come with the car with code. Also upgrade to the front sport seats and rear ski-bypass sport seats with headrest are in great condition with no ripes or tears. I also put in a good condition Husco Armrest which is super rare and also the OEM rear rollup windshield shade. The car also has a rear mirror map light. The carpet is in great condition. The center console has no ripes or scratches. The 4 door panels are in great condition. However, since the car is 23 years old. The front driver door panel (shown in pictures) has small blemishes. The sport steering wheel does have some fade but it is overall in great condition, and last the Dashboard has 3 line cracks. Overall those are the only flaws in the interior. All the equipment functions in the car work flawlessly like door locks, moonroof, cruise control, OBC, horn, windows, electronics, gauges, A/C cold air, heater, buttons, antenna works perfectly on the car.

The engine does not smoke or leak oil and starts up every time. A/C blows cold air. There is no checklight or any lights. The car is in perfect running order. The car has never been tracked or raced. Always used for weekend cruise. The engine bay does need a little detail to make it look nice again overall the engine is very healthy. The brake on the car has a lot of life left about 80% front and 75% rear. The brakes do make light small squealing noise sometimes after driving quite a distance. Overall the car rides very smooth and responsive and is in great running condition. The item listed below is what I have replaced and upgraded during my years of owning the car.

Overall

Overall the car is great condition since I tried to restore the car. Everything works on the car from being the lights, door locks, moonroof, cruise control, OBC, horn, windows, electronics, gauges, A/C cold air, heater, buttons, antenna, defroster works perfectly on the car.

NOTE: However since the car is 23 year old. This car starts everytime and runs great and is very reliable with that being said it is still an old vehicle and there will always be something that could be fixed or replaced. On this car in particular, there are only a couple things needing simple fixes but not required to prevent any future problems like new dashboard being cracked, hood shock, radiator hoses, ignition coil, brake rotors, transmission oil and differential oil. These items are things I wanted to do, but never got to replacing on the car. However, the car needs nothing and runs great in its current state. The car is used and is sold AS-IS with no warranty.

Obviously, I can’t let this go without saying that I prefer a conventional spring/shock setup over coilovers, and the wheels are a bit blingy for my tastes. But given how long the list is of potential offenses committable by E30 owners, this seller hasn’t gone overboard enough to warrant banishment from the OEM+ owners club.
