Through the world’s largest proprietary terrestrial and satellite network, Genscape will integrate commodity and energy fundamentals with AIS data to complete the global supply chain picture

June 10, 2014 – Hamburg, Germany - Genscape, the leading global provider of energy information for commodity and financial markets has today announced the addition of 436 new AIS antennas to the Genscape VesselTracker existing terrestrial network, concentrating on U.S. inland waterways and coastal regions with additional coverage outside the continent in Mexico, Canada, Latin America, and the Persian Gulf.

With the largest proprietary network of terrestrial and AIS satellite monitors globally, Genscape VesselTracker has combined extensive proprietary energy monitoring networks on both land and sea to launch the world’s most comprehensive and accurate data feed for global shipping. With this new expansion, the Genscape VesselTracker AIS network will now cover every commercial port in the U.S. and approximately 90% of U.S. inland waterways.

With the supplementary AIS data, Genscape is able to tie-in fundamental intelligence about various components of global commodities and energy supply chains.
