So apparently a few people in the Genesis community are at something called Authority this week?! But exciting things are still happening elsewhere too. Here’s the best of them.

Podcasts, hangouts and other nefarious gatherings

Firstly if you’re reading this on Friday and you’re the coding type, Scott Ellis and Juan Rangel are doing a live Google Hangout at 2pm CDT, on Creating Color Schemes in Genesis Child Themes with Sass (and if you missed it I’m guessing they’ll be a re-run).

I’ll be doing a quick live session via Google hangouts, Friday 2pm CDT titled "Color Schemes in Genesis Child Themes with Sass" #genesiswp

No longer live, but even more exciting is episode 80 of the Dradcast featuring The Leader of StudioPress and Creator of Awesome Designs, Lauren Mancke talking to Brad Williams and Dre Meda about Genesis and a whole lot more.

Showcase

I saw a few nice site designs this week but one stood out above all the rest, Rebecca Gill launching a sharp new Genesis website for sightmachine.com. Check.it.out.

Themes

After a flurry of recent theme releases, things slowed down a little this week but that’s OK. Calvin Makes still made time to launch his dedicated new theme shop and revealed that he’s working on a new premium version of his Minny theme, Minny Plus.

Plugins

Two new plugins for you this week. Firstly, serial Genesis plugin creator Bradley Potter released a new Genesis Archive Options plugin.

Plus, Mickey Kay launched a new Genesis Post Info & Meta plugin for all your post info and meta needs. (Edit: Carlo Manf mentioned the plugin he is working on which is designed specifically for the forthcoming Genesis 2.2 changes, so you may prefer to take a look at this instead: wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-advanced-edits) – Nick, 19 May 2015

And that’s it for this week. I’ll be back next week with more Genesis Framework goodness going straight to your dome.

PS My massive thanks to everyone who shared and commented on my interview with Genesis code tutorial wiz, Sridhar Katakam this week. If you haven’t read it yet and you’re into Genesis + business + just learning more about an awesome individual, you really should.
