I was lucky enough to receive the Makeup Forever Artistic Essentials Makeup Favorites as a Christmas present from the very lovely and supportive guys at PAM London and I wanted to share the set here on my blog as they currently have the set on sale, and you can purchase all of the contents individually too. The Makeup Forever Artistic Essentials Makeup Favorites retailed for £28 full price which is a pretty great price in itself but PAM London currently have this amazing set on offer for just £14 which is insane considering you get five generously sized Makeup Forever products in a lovely little tin. You can check out the PAM London sale here as they have other Makeup Forever gift sets in the sale, but I’d recommend moving quickly as they’re going to sell out at such a great price – I really, really am tempted by the Eyeshadow Palette and the Brush Set.

The Makeup Forever Artistic Essentials Makeup Favorites is packaged within a beautiful red and black tin which you could certainly reuse as it’s such a nice tin, and the tin contains five of the bestselling Makeup Forever products making it the ideal way to try a selection of the Makeup Forever range without having to purchase the full sizes. I’ve tried quite a few Makeup Forever products and I’ve loved everything I’ve tried and I think this set is perfect for those that travel or want miniature sizes for their makeup bag as they’re so compact and travel-friendly.

The first item in the set is a 1 gram size of the iconic Makeup Forever High Definition Microfinish Powder. I have the full size of this powder and I really like it but the full size isn’t something I’d want to take out of the house as it’s particularly messy so this mini size would be a good option especially as it has its own little mini sifter too. The HD Microfinish Powder is a 100% mineral powder which claims to soften the appearance of lines and pores for a naturally radiant complexion, as well as mattifying shine and can be worn alone or over makeup.

The next item in the Makeup Forever Artistic Essentials Makeup Favorites set is a 5ml sample size of the Makeup Forever Step 1 Hydrating Primer which is a product I’ve been wanting to try for a while now after hearing such rave reviews on YouTube. Makeup Forever describe it as the following “instantly quenches skin’s thirst by helping boost and refreshing tired skin. Formulated with our specific H₂O Complex, it provides moisture transforming dehydrated skin into a supple, healthy, plump surface for a flawless makeup all day long.” I love using hydrating primer formulas and I’ve really enjoyed using this primer so far. It is only a tiny size but it’s enough to know if you like it or not and it’s definitely something I’d be up for purchasing in the full size as it’s great for my dry skin.

Then we have a 2.5ml size of the Makeup Forever Excessive Lash Mascara. I’ve never tried any of the Makeup Forever Mascaras before so I was most looking forward to trying this out of the whole set as I tend to get on well with sample sizes of mascaras. The brush is quite thin and narrow with natural bristles and it does a great job at making my lashes look voluminous and intense without smudging, crumbling or transferring.

Another item I’ve never tried from Makeup Forever are the Makeup Forever Aqua XL Eye Liner Pencils and this is an amazingly intense matte black shade. Even though this is a sample size, I imagine this will last me forever as the formula is so soft and I’ve only sharpened it once since Christmas. These eyeliners won the 2016 Allure Beauty Award for Best Eyeliners and it’s easy to see why as they’re very creamy and soft. There are so many amazing different shades in the liner range so I’d love to perhaps try the Iridescent Khaki or Satiny Taupe shades next as I love this black shade so much.

The last item in the Makeup Forever Artistic Essentials Makeup Favorites set is a 3ml size of the Makeup Forever Plexi Gloss Lip Lacquer in the shade 400 (Orange Red). I already own the Light Rose shade which is one of my most worn lip glosses as it’s an absolutely stunning shade so I was really happy to try one of the bolder shades, and this has to be the most pigmented red lip gloss I’ve ever seen and used. The applicator on the Plexi Glosses is quite unique with a cut out section on the side of the doefoot which makes for a more precise application and again I would love to try more shades as I like how comfortable the formula is for such a super shiny gloss.

The Makeup Forever Artistic Essentials Makeup Favorites really is a fantastic set especially for £14 whilst it’s on sale so make sure you snap one up whilst you can as they won’t hang around for long <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/2.2.1/72x72/1f642.png" alt="
