I used to be a big fan of the Esqido Lashes however now I won’t use any Mink False Eyelashes as due to research, it’s beyond cruel no matter how ‘cruelty free’ a mink lash brand claim to be. In my opinion, yes mink lashes are beautiful, but synthetic lashes can be equally beautiful and I’m hoping I can prove that with these Blinking Beauté Silk Lashes. Blinking Beauté is an handcrafted lashline which is available on the FalseEyelashes.co.uk website here in the UK. Each set of the Blinking Beauté Silk Lashes is packaged within a cream cardboard box, but they don’t feel particularly luxurious packaging wise like other lash brands yet their prices are on par with other luxury lash brands so I think their packaging could do with improving as they don’t look/feel like a ‘Premier Silk Collection’ lash from the packaging’s perspective. The lashes don’t come with any lash glue either which is something to consider if you don’t already own a lash glue you can use.
Blinking Beauté do offer a range of mink lashes, but they also do a range of Silk Lashes which really are stunning and I have two styles from their Silk Lashes collection; Coquette and Mademoiselle, both of which are completely cruelty free. The premium silk lashes are composed of a rare silk material, creating a soft, feathery feel for a natural and luxurious look. This high quality silk makes for a light and comfortable wear every time. They have a specially developed cotton-thread band, which also allows for longer lasting lashes that maintain their shape and form after multiple uses and can be worn upto 20 times.
Blinking Beauté Coquette Silk Lashes £23.95
How dramatic are these lashes?! The Coquette lashes have a thinner band in comparison to the Mademoiselle lashes but it’s not the thinnest band I’ve ever seen, and I do generally prefer a thinner band for my lashes as they mesh better with my natural lashes but the bands are flexible so you can bend then to match the contours of your eyelid with very little effort. The Coquette Lashes have almost a criss cross design with seven ‘tufts’ of lashes which are evenly spaced along the lash band, and in between each tuft there are lashes in a multiple directions in different lengths which really does create a fluttery look but I have had to trim a few of the lashes as they’re just a little bit too long for my liking which is something I never thought I’d say, but they’re a little too wispy at the ends. These are pretty dramatic lashes, so if you like a good statement lash, then these are for you but they’re not the lightest so I wouldn’t recommend them for false lash newbies but they are stunning nonetheless.
Blinking Beauté Mademoiselle Silk Lashes £23.95
These lashes are a lot more understated in comparison to the aforementioned Coquette lashes with a more natural, wispy appearance. The lashes are quite thin, and evenly distributed along the lash band and I find that they mesh with my lashes a lot better and they feel so lightweight on the lashes. I don’t wear lashes everyday as I used to when I was in my early twenties and it ruined my lashes, but if you do like to wear lashes everyday, I think this would be the perfect pair as they’re still dramatic but they don’t look overdone if that even makes sense.
Overall I think the lashes themselves are great quality, so please ignore the unassuming packaging as they are lovely lashes and more importantly, they’re cruelty free lashes which is the most important thing.
