Lancome are very well known for their extensive range of mascaras, especially their Grandiose Mascara which features an angled brush. Following the success of the Grandiose Mascara, along came the Lancome Grandiôse Liner Bendable Eyeliner £23 which has just very recently launched. The Lancome Grandiôse Liner Bendable Eyeliner is described as being an intuitive liquid eyeliner, which gives access to the closest base of the lashes from inner corner to outer wing, and also helps adapt to your unique eye shape. The liner is available in three shades; Noir Mirifique, Brun Mirifique and Saphir Mirifique (black, brown and navy) all of which are matte, long wearing and smudge resistant.

The Lancome Grandiôse Liner Bendable Eyeliner’s nib is a long and tapered felt tip which allows for a lot of movement which I always look for in a liquid eyeliner, as I find them a lot easier to apply than stiff nibs as they move with the natural contours of the eyes. Before using this liner, Lancome advise that you need to shake it vigorously before application as the tube contains a ball bearing to keep the liner’s fluid as thin as possible. When I tried the liner without shaking, the liner’s ink was quite lumpy and thick so it really does need shaking before use for the best results.

The lid of the liner features a silver plastic ball which allows the handle to bend 35 degrees to the left or to the right depending on your preference, or you can choose to use the liner with the handle in the straight position. I love liner and wear it practically everyday so I wasn’t sure I’d need a liner which bends, but it was really intriguing as I’ve not tried anything else like it before. I do find the nib to be a little long for my liking as it feels difficult to control when drawing along the lashline but the long nib does help when doing flicks, so I’ve found it best to almost lay the nib flat along my lashline instead of drawing with the tip.

I think I would prefer the tip to be a touch thicker as it would offer more control but I think I’ll continue to use this liner for doing my flicks and stick to using other liners for lining my lashline. I don’t know if it’s just me and my very shaky hands, but the skinny tip doesn’t create a consistent, even line.. it’s quite uneven and a little patchy for my liking, so it performs best for just flicks but it could be completely down to my shaky hands. The formula is very matte, and long wearing so I imagine it’ll work well for those with oily eyelids as it stays put without flaking, or fading until I remove it in the evenings. Overall I do really like the new Lancome Grandiôse Liner Bendable Eyeliner, I just think that my hands are not steady enough for a nib as long and as thin as this as it’s quite hard to control but if you don’t have problems with your hands, I think you’d LOVE this liner..
