This is a video of Rolls-Royce Tampa Bay sales director Mark Powell demonstrating what happens when you try to steal the Spirit Of Ecstasy (because the Rolls Royce hood ornament has a name) from a modern vehicle. The anti-theft technology has apparently been standard equipment on ever Rolls Royce built since 2004 (I thought they used to just go down when the car was parked), but I've never seen it because I don't know anybody with a Rolls-Royce. I don't even know anybody with any luxury car. Or a car period. It's almost impossible to get a ride to the mall without somebody asking their mom. Pretty cool, Rolls-Royce, but where where the flamethrowers and laser guns? If I'm going to drop $300,000+ for a car it better kill people then represent me in court and admit it was all its fault.
Keep going for the whole video.
Thanks to Dunc, who agrees the old Mercedes hood ornaments worn as a necklace charm are really where its at.
