It’s time to start taking advantage of our newfound freedom (note: to make sense of that statement read this post, and then help support us here at Patreon or here at GoFundMe), and one of the ways we’re building GeekDad up is with podcasts. We’ve had our classic “The GeekDads” podcast since late 2007, and, though we’re not quite as regular as we used to be (in more ways than one), we’re still putting out content. But now, we’re taking it to 11. Well, 9 (for now), but we may make it to 11. 9 podcasts, that is.

We are formally launching the GeekDad Podcast Network (GPN) with 9 great podcasts put out by members of the GeekDad team here. We have podcasts about gaming, podcasts about writing and self-publishing, and podcasts where parents have funny and touching chats with their 2-year-old kids. In fact, I think our geeky readers will be able to find plenty of interesting content here, with new episodes of one thing or another popping up every week. So take a browse through the descriptions below and latest episodes of all the new shows below, or go to our iTunes page and subscribe (or use the Stitcher links or RSS feed links below in your other podcast app).

The GeekDads

A podcast by geeks who are dads. Regular chats about the posts on GeekDad.com, discussions about parenting in the digital age, and raising your kids in your geeky image.

The GeekDads Episode #145: We Are So Much More Important Than Public Radio

It's another great GeekDad podcast! Ken and Matt talk about the loss of some geek greats, and revel in the recent episodes of Agent Carter and Gravity Falls. Enjoy!

GeekDad.com is the parenting blog edited by Ken Denmead, Matt Blum, Jonathan Liu, Z and Chris Anderson. It is a community of like-minded geeky parents writing about our experiences raising our kids in the digital age, and about our obsessions with technology, family-friendly projects, and pop culture. The GeekDads podcast is a biweekly discussion of anything and everything that impacts us as geeks and parents.

This week on Hey You Geeks, we’re talking about the dark and light sides of comic book movies, piecing together how the dark New York of Marvel’s new Daredevil series will fit into the often lighter-themed MCU. We’re also looking at DC’s new cast of brooding faces and debating where darkness does and doesn’t belong in superhero movies. But first, we explain a little more about the podcast, and cover some news on the upcoming Ghostbusters multiverse and the first Star Wars standalone film, Rogue One.
