About the Company
Emu Design, a wholly owned subsidiary of the GBST group of companies, is one of Australia’s leading digital agencies with offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and London. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Sydney.
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who is driven by new business opportunities, building ongoing relationships and delivering results for our clients. This newly created role will be pivotal in expanding and developing our customer base, offering tailored solutions to our diverse group of clients.
Requirements
The responsibilities will involve:
Generating, qualifying and executing on opportunities in order to meet or exceed revenue targets;
Building long term trusted relationships with our customers to ensure Emu Design is the chosen provider for all their web design and development needs;
A strong understanding of business practices, industry trends and competitors to each sales cycle;
Demonstrated passion and energy both externally with the customer and internally with cross functional teams;
Consistently building and maintaining a healthy and active pipeline and communicating with leadership through each phase of the sales process to ensure work can be resourced and completed on time and on budget;
Consistently providing information back to the organisation regarding market conditions, competitive intelligence and prospect needs and enquiries.
We are seeking candidates with:
Market knowledge of internet-related industries, with financial services exposure desirable
A strong sales background with the proven ability to sell the benefits of quality service and software solutions within the web sector
A high level of interpersonal, negotiation and relationship building skills
Excellent organisational skills and a good attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of working with external clients
Strong understanding of a client’s needs and an innovative history of addressing them in the digital field.
