Eunice Mae Nevius, 75, of Spring Hill, Kan. passed away April 19, 2014 at her home.

Eunice was born Jan. 12, 1939 in Olathe, Kan. to Levi Franklin and Viola Corbin (Hay) Cox. She grew up in Olathe, attending the Olathe Schools.

Eunice married George Wayne Nevius in Nov. 1967 in Paola, Kan. After they got married they moved to Spring Hill.

For several years Eunice enjoyed working at Excel doing home healthcare, making many close friends during that time. She enjoyed gardening and going to the Lake of the Ozarks.

Eunice was an animal lover and an avid “Garage Sale” goer. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Eunice was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Helen Loveall, Deloris Cox, Levi “Sonny” Cox and James “Jim” Cox.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne of the home; children, Vickie L. Eddy, of Wellsville, Kan., John W. (Gina) Nevius, of Spring Hill, Kan. and Deborah L. (Jeffrey) Rice, of Spring Hill, Kan.; brother, Robert “Bob” Cox, of Olathe, Kan.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Olathe Hospice for their care and compassion during Eunice’s illness.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., April 24, 2014 at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Webster, Spring Hill, KS 66083 (913)592-2244. Graveside Inurnment will be 1:30 p.m., April 25, 2014 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe, Kan.
