Every month my affiliate partner Nourished Living Network has a special bundle with e-books from bloggers within our network.  For July we have another Real Food bundle and this month we have a giveaway that you can enter to win!

I’m excited to tell you that my e-book Beyond Grain & Dairy, is in this bundle!  You’ll be getting my e-book which normally retails at $16.97 plus four more real food e-books!

Here’s a quick rundown as to the GAPS Friendliness of this bundle:

Nourished Cooking – of the 60 recipes in this book, 48 are GAPS legal as written.

Adventures with Kids: In the Kitchen – this e-book is not a recipe book, although it mentions foods that are not GAPS legal, it is more an instructional guide in how to teach your children how to cook real food in a real food kitchen.

Real Food Party Menus – Only a handful of ingredients in this book are not GAPS legal. I’m pretty sure you could get by with just omitting them altogether: Potatoes 4 pounds (one of the first foods you can eat when graduating from the GAPS Diet), Sweet potatoes 1 ½ pounds (use a substitute like butternut squash), Almond milk 1/4 cup (use coconut milk), Chocolate chips 1 cup (omit), Kelp granules ½ tsp (omit), Molasses, blackstrap 4 tsp (omit or use honey), Rapadura 1 cup + 4 Tbs (use half as much honey), Worcestershire 2/3 cup (use this recipe as a substitute).

Just Making Ice Cream – I contacted Marillyn Beard, the author of this e-book and she says that she has used coconut milk for the recipes and they have come out just fine.  So even though most of the recipes as written are not GAPS legal (due to the milk and cream), just sub out with coconut milk, or try using GAPS legal yogurt.  You will most definitely get a ton of inspiration from reading this e-book and I would not hesitate to encourage you to try some of the recipes with GAPS legal substitutes.
