Every month my affiliate partner Nourished Living Network has a special bundle with e-books from bloggers within the network.  June is Real Food month.  I have to tell you right off the bat that these e-books are not completely GAPS cookbooks but they do contain recipes which can be used if you are on GAPS.  I have asked KerryAnn Foster, the founder of Nourished Living Network and she says if you buy the bundle and absolutely cannot use the e-books you have permission to share one copy with someone who can use it, provided you delete your copy from your hard drive.

60 recipes, 57 GAPS Legal

Nourishing Eats is by Sarah Smith who blogs at Nourished and Nurtured.  Sarah’s cookbook contains over 50 recipes and only three are not GAPS legal.  I see some new dinner ideas like Bacon-wrapped Salmon Cakes with Tartar Sauce, Pork Carnitas and Ham, Bean and Bacon Soup.

Nourishing Eats is packed with 60 nutrient-dense, grain-free, delicious recipes. Filled with full-color photos and lots of tips, this cookbook is a must-have item for those following real foods diets. The cookbook includes 16 breakfast recipes, 16 snack/dessert recipes, 18 main course recipes, and 10 dressings/sauces/fermented foods. This book is perfect for the GAPS Diet since 57 of the recipes are legal for the Full GAPS Diet. It is also suitable for Primal/Paleo eating. The book comes in PDF format, and is ready to print for those who prefer to have something they can easily refer to in the kitchen. 71 pages / Retail Value: $5.00

37 recipes GAPS Legal as written out of 75 recipes

Next up, Divine Dinners from Lydia Divine Health from the Inside Out.  Divine Dinners has 75 recipes and they are all gluten-free. 37 of the 75 are GAPS legal as written.  Dozens more are easily adaptable to GAPS by leaving out or substituting ingredients, for example, Balsamic Vinegar is not GAPS legal and several recipes call for it. You can substitute 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar and 1/2 teaspoon honey to substitute Balsamic Vinegar and then you’ll have several more GAPS legal recipes.

Lydia includes a nice variety of recipes in this e-book and I found myself checking off the ones I wanted to try soon. Here are a few that caught my eye: Roasted Squash and Apple Soup, Citrus Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing, Marinated Mushroom Sauce, Sweet Dill and Mustard Sauce and Skewered Lamb Meatballs.

80 recipes to help you make the transition to gluten free simple with real food in mind. No need for packaged gluten free products that are just as unhealthful as processed foods with gluten. Plus if you need ideas for pairing a main dish with sides there are plenty of suitable recipes and suggestions for sides in this book. 104 pages/Retail Value: $14.95

30 of the 68 recipes are GAPS Legal

Cooking with Coconut Oil by Jennifer Saleem from Hybrid Rasta Mama

Have you been looking for more ways to get coconut oil into your diet?  Jennifer shares 68 recipes in this eBook for adding coconut oil into the foods you eat.  If you are doing GAPS, 30 of the 68 recipes are already GAPS legal as written.  Several others are easily altered to be GAPS legal. So far I’ve tried the Baba Ganoush – I’ve never had this before.  Jennifer’s rendition was so yummy I was eating it with a spoon!

Adding more coconut oil to your diet doesn’t have to be difficult.  Cooking With Coconut Oil by Jennifer Saleem is a collection of 68 nourishing recipes that are simple, family-friendly, and gluten free. You will learn tips and tricks for cooking with coconut oil and create mouth watering dishes that will have your friends and family begging for more! 120 pages / Retail Value: $14.95

Real Food Hits the Road by Millie Copper from Real Food for Less Money.  Millie’s book is more about traveling and includes budget friendly tips and ideas for eating real food away from home. There is a menu plan but I think you will find the first section of the book helpful because it contains so much good information.  Some of the topics include: family vacation planning, impromptu trips, packing for a road trip, dining out, planning the menu, snack bags, dry goods/emergency bag.  A few of the GAPS legal recipes: Spiced Meat Patties or Meatballs, Rice Cooker Hard Boiled Eggs, Main Dish Green Salad with Protein, OOOHHH the Layered Taco Dip contains fermented white beans so just use a GAPS legal cheese and you’ll be set.

Are you planning a road trip this summer? Does the idea of eating out three meals ago not work for your budget or your health? Would you like to continue with a traditional foods style of eating while away from home? Real Food Hits the Road by Millie Copperis just what you need! This eBook will be your guide to saving the budget, keeping your digestion working well and enjoying real food away from home while letting you enjoy your trip and not be ‘cooking’ all of the time. You’ll love the tips and ideas plus menu plans and recipes provided in Real Food Hits the Road. 140 pages / Retail Value: $14.95

And last but not least The Whole Food Revelation by France Morissette who blogs at Beyond the Peel.  I’m looking through now for some GAPS legal recipes and there are a few – the Roasted Pepper Mint Sauce sounds divine. I just recently discovered that I love, love, love spaghetti squash (I never really cared much for it but wow, now it is one of my favorites!) and the Garlic Spaghetti Squash makes my mouth start watering just reading the directions.  I’m seeing a lot of quinoa, grain and sweet potatoes and other foods that should be avoided on GAPS so just be aware that this one you might need to look through more carefully. Or maybe pass on to a friend who doesn’t have to avoid the same foods as we do on GAPS. Just remember to delete your copy.

The Whole Food Revelation is a revolutionary book that combines the very best of gourmet, healthy, real food cookbooks, meal planning, and meal prepping into one simple, easy to use book. The layout of the book is designed to teach, organize, and prioritize kitchen tasks so you don’t have to fret about the what, when or how of making amazing whole food meals. Whether you are an expert or a newbie in the kitchen, you’ll appreciate the simplicity of it all. You just buy the groceries on the conveniently included grocery lists and show up with your pretty face. Unlock your inner cooking rockstar and save yourself mad amounts of time and money in the process by meal prepping one day a week. Gourmet whole food meals have never been tastier or faster. 100 pages / Retail Value:$19.95
