All around the world shipping containers are being transported from one location to another, day and night. From a container port In china, to travelling over the seven seas on a container ship and to being transport via a haulage vehicle on a motorway, the shipping container takes on a long and Important journey to It’s destination. More than 90% of the worlds shipping containers are manufactured In the far east, mostly In China, and some of the largest container ports In the world are In the far east.

The largest container port In the world, In terms of the amount of shipping containers that are handled each year, Is the port of Shanghai In China. The port of Shanghai handles more than a huge 35 million shipping containers per year – that Is certainly a lot of shipping containers! Close behind the port of Shanghai Is the port of Singapore which handles more than 35 million shipping containers per year.
