Last year, Team Ninja seemed pretty positive about the Wii U when they released Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge for the console’s launch. Unfortunately, after the launch of the new platform, Team Ninja seemed pretty down on the Wii U. Not only did Team Ninja port Razor’s Edge to other consoles, but the team hasn’t announced a single game for the Wii U since.

Fortunately, the head of the studio, Yosuke Hayashi, stated today that even though the Wii U’s sales haven’t been very good recently, the studio would consider making a game for the platform again if it was a good fit for the game.

Speaking with Joystiq, Hayashi commented on the issue by saying:

Of course, I think there are games that would be good for Wii U. So I think we need to still see what exactly those games they are and how you make a game for Wii U that is perfect for the Wii U. So if we get a chance to make a game like that, well, maybe we can think about it then. But right now we have no plans to port existing games to Wii U.

Hopefully we’ll be seeing the studio’s work on the Wii U soon. Have you played Ninja Gaiden 3 on the Wii U? Make sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
