Sound makes everything

By now you’ll have probably seen the stunning screenshots and wallpapers for Project Cars but now it’s time to focus on sound.

The team’s busy audio department has reportedly been hard at work to make sure every car in the game sounds exactly as raw and menacing as their real-life counterparts..

Don’t just take their word for it though, kick back, turn up the volume and take a listen.

What you just saw was a brand new video made by WMD Portal member JonZ featuring 12 minutes of 100% in-game Project CARS sound.

Running on Slightly Mad Studios’ proprietary MADNESS game engine that was built specifically for next-generation platforms and is scalable to a wide variety of modern PC specifications, Project Cars is a racing simulation game in the same realm as popular console franchises such as Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo. Whilst being this, it also strives to provide the kind of advanced features typically seen in PC-only simulators like iRacing and rFactor.

Project Cars will feature a wide range of cars and motorsports, a career and online mode, a set of community features, over 60 unique tracks, and more. You can look forward to playing this game on Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U, and Steam OS starting November 2014.

For more on the Wii U version, the second most popular version of the game, check out our slightly mad exclusive interview with Andy Tudor, the Creative Developer of Project Cars.
