Grand Theft Auto V was released to worldwide acclaim on Tuesday. The game sold over $800 million worth of copies, shattering the previous record held by Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, which brought in $500 million in the first 24 hours. In North America alone, more than 8,300 retail stores opened their doors at midnight to celebrate the release. The game was released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and features a massive open world to explore. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zenick couldn't have hoped for a better launch with the release of GTA V.
