Just started playing tekkit again after a recent nostalgic lust for galacticraft. So this is the newest build that the technic launcher will load of tekkit. So I build one of the new redstone cells. it has a gold-ish (electrum-ish) color now. Anyhow, I figured out the configuring of each face on the cell... but after figuring it all out, and getting it set up properly. The cell was powering everything fine. I had it set to 10 flux units, or what ever the thermal expansion energy units are. 10 flux output per tick.
had my quarry humming along at quite a nice clip. but then it stopped after I tried bumping the power output up one notch to see what that would do for the quarry speed. but it froze, the quarry is just not moving. (the mining arm is still down in the NON finished quarry hole. I have also cleared any obstructions (there wasn't any, no lava yet (not deep enough) I even drained the water.) ) so I disconnected the conduit (redstone) from the quarry. then reconnected. then it worked for a beat or two, then stopped again. tried disconnect then reconnect. still nothing.
then I noticed that my cell is losing power all of a sudden. I check each machine that gets power from it. all full up. quarry froze, still power is draining. so I disconnect each machine one by one. and it was still draining
so here is the weird part, I connect ONE redstone energy conduit. and it starts draining.
I thought they were loseless... and they were when I only had it connected to machines and not a quarry.
please, I need some uber tekkit (or maybe ftb has this issue as well (I never had it) ) super minecrafter help.
the quarry freezing up is sort of neither here nor there, im sure it will work fine after I break and replace it. but the cell thing bugs me. Is it that it is only lossless under a certain amount of power? as I only tried bumping up the juice after I switched the power source over to magma dynamos... I dunno.
EDIT: I might be able to do a screen shot in the nearish future. but it is a quite simplistic build with one redstone cell with one red conduit in and one out the one in is fed by three magma dynamos. and the one out, feeds everything else, two branches. first feeds the machines. second feeds the planter and harvester. then it branches from the planter/harvester to my quarry.
