Here at Gamers Sphere, we have a wide variety of gaming tastes. In fact, what started out as a “Top 10 Most Anticipated Games of 2015” article, soon became one in which we all provide our vastly different lists, big or small. Let’s take a look at what the team is looking forward to the most in 2015.
The first major release window of the year is upon us, with big name titles like Dying Light, Evolve, and The Order 1886, all releasing within about a month of each other. Let’s dive into what we’re looking for this month and beyond!
John
As for my most anticipated games for 2015, here is my list:
No Man’s Sky
This one is in my list because of the fact that it will introduce the open-universe concept, which will blend with a procedurally generated environment that will bring a whole universe to explore.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
I’ve always been a fan of RPG games, and mostly when they come with an amazing open-world environment I can explore, and when it comes packed with a rich storyline, it gets even better.
Project CARS
After seeing what has been released from different racing games, Project CARS seems to be the most advanced game when it comes to graphics, even for a game developed by a team without the money other companies that develop games have.
There are two games I won’t get to play: Bloodborne and The Order: 1886 which are not coming to PC, but these games have caught my attention ever since they were announced; mostly the second one, as it is a single-player storyline in third person that involves different aspects such as mythology and great architecture that I really love.
PP1MT
GTA V
Dying Light
Star Citizen
Evolve
Hatred
Tom Clancy’s The Division
The open-world online shooter that floored the audience at E3 2014,infamous for orchestrating an impossible silence. The trailer which was played at E3 stunned many, and caught the eyes of even more. We all know that there were more than 1 booth and 1 single stream going on at E3 – it’s an endless celebration of what the industry has to offer. But The Division captured the undivided attention of many, and was easily one of the greatest highlights of the show.
Impressive visuals are part a snippet of what is being offered in this upcoming title, featuring co-op squad-play and firefights with other multiplayer squads, including a realistic virtual representation of New York City in peril.
Darkest Dungeon
Darkest dungeon‘s take on the roguelike sub-genre promises a treacherous journey into the deathly abyss, where horror and permadeath awaits those who challenge it. The game lacks the colorful rainbows, sunshines and tongue-in-cheek humor of many popular roguelikes out there. In its place, Darkest Dungeon houses doom and death as the player loses his control over the party as it spirals towards insanity. The game exudes a sense of despair and hopelessness that peers out of its gritty art style and claws at the player.
Minecraft: Story Mode
The adventure genre are starting to make a resurgence in the gaming scene, and spearheading that resurrection is none other than Telltale. They have showcased an immense talent in running existing stories and virtual worlds into purely Adventure games, without having to rely on a mixture of other mechanics to make these games a memorable and praise-worthy experience. They have captured the eyes of many gamers, and in scrutiny is how they would attempt their next adaptation of the greatest sandbox game of our generation.

Nathan
I have three games that I am really looking forward to in the first half of 2015 – Game of Thrones Episode 2: Lost Lords, The Order: 1886 and Oddworld:New ‘n’ Tasty. I try not to look forward to what is coming out and enjoy games in their own time. The first step to disappointment, I find, is expectation. Hype is the demon that makes you hate a good game.
Shawn

Quincy
My most anticipated games would probably be Killing Floor 2, as I’m a huge fan of the game, those recent screenshots really got me hyped for it, as well as Bloodborne. I’m also anxiously awaiting Splatoon and the announcement of when Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem is going to release, I may have to pick up a Wii U once Splatoon comes out.
Matthew
I have a handful of games I’m really looking forward to.
Evolve
Evolve brings a really neat concept to the table that is incredibly fun (if the Alpha and Beta I played are any indication). I really hope that the asymmetrical gameplay stays fresh in the months to come, and I hope Turtle Rock puts out a finished product as well.
The Order 1886
I have quite the affinity for medieval stuff (Camelot, Galavant, Spamalot, The Once and Future King), so when I heard that King Arthur and his allies would be taking on half-breed freaks in an altered version of England that has crazy technology in the 18th century, I was absolutely hooked.
Battlefield Hardline
Despite Battlefield 4’s rocky launch, I think that Hardline is poised for something much smoother. At first, the “cops ‘n’ robbers” shtick seemed like a terrible gimmick, but the more I hear about it, the more fun it looks.
Star Fox
Last year, I bought a N64 and played Star Fox 64 for the first time. It was a blast! I can’t wait to see what innovation Nintendo can bring with the Wii U and the Gamepad, not to mention, the high definition graphics will help a lot too.
Halo 5: Guardians
Halo is my favorite series of all time, and I’m incredibly excited to see what happens to Master Chief (and Cortana, for that matter). I, unlike most, loved what 343 did with Halo 4, so I’m intrigued to see what happens next
No Man’s Sky
Honestly, there are some games that I don’t look into a lot so that I can be pleasantly surprised by the concept when I crack open the experience for the first time. With that being said, I don’t know a whole lot about No Man’s Sky, and I want to keep it that way because what I do know makes me incredibly giddy. I want to keep the mystery intact.
Some of our other team members have varying choices from these as well. Sade is looking forward to Uncharted 4, and for Ophelia, it’s “Majora’s Mask for 3DS, hands down.” Brad is waiting for Dark Souls II to launch on PS4 and Xbox One, and Mary is looking forward to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. So, as you can tell, we have wildly varying tastes, but that keeps things fresh around here! Let us know what you’re looking forward to in the comments. Happy gaming!
