Indie games marketplace itch.io is set to launch its own early-access system, attempting to remedy the issues that plague other such systems.
Dubbed "Refinery," itch.io's solution sports a number of features geared more towards aiding game development than simply selling unfinished games.
Developers can set a limit on purchasable keys, allowing for focused or targeted testing; additionally, different price points – with perks – can be set, and physical goods like can be sold alongside digital content.
