“Observatory: A VR Variety Pack” is three games and a music video for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OMAHA, Mar 25, 2016—“Observatory” is a VR title coming to Early Access in Spring 2016. It’s made of four parts: A microscopic spacejet/horror game, a procedurally generated downhill racing game set on huge wooden ski resorts, an island-puzzler based on interactions with physics-based animals, and the official music video for “Phantasmagoria” (a song from Icky Blossoms’ latest album, “Mask”). The music video will also be released by Saddle Creek Records as a 360 panoramic video (for services like Youtube and Facebook).

Each of the items in the pack has a different featured visual artist, but the rest of the development team is working on all four parts. The final product will include a short optional eBook (for the curious) to show how the four items are related to each other.

ABOUT 2DARRAY:
We’re a small game studio based on Omaha, Nebraska. We have two permanent members: Eli Piilonen writes the code and designs the games, and David Carney writes the music and creates the sound effects. Eli and David have been collaborating for close to seven years and have released seven games together (most recently, “Not the Robots,” a stealth action-roguelike, on Steam and other desktop marketplaces).
We work with freelance art contractors when we can afford it – Observatory includes artwork from Thomas Guillon (for “Hamster Slide”), Alex Myers (for “Phantasmagoria”), Cindy Raggo (for “The Island”), and Michael Kingery (for “Antibody”).
