Several quick reminders today about Gallifrey One 2017:

Early Photo Op Orders Available

Our photo partners, Convention Photo Shoots, have opened up photo ops with several guests confirmed for the Gallifrey One 2017 convention, at their website. Photo op pre-sales are a convenient way of booking your photo ops in advance to avoid having to pay on site (or possibly risk selling out).

Please note that only a few select guests are available at this time; all other guests doing photo ops will be confirming pricing closer to the event, and you can check out the photo website for any updates and additions to the photo op schedule. Photo op times will be announced with our convention schedule closer to the event.

Discussion Panel Idea Deadline: November 4

As a reminder, our 2017 call for discussion panel topics is now open! We are looking for YOUR ideas for panel topics on any topic related to Doctor Who, its spinoffs, science fiction television & film, comics, gaming, costuming, or other related media, to be added to our current working list of topics we’ll be using for our next convention.

The deadline for panel ideas is THIS FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 4. (We will call for panelists for these panels at a separate date, please do not contact us to participate at this time, except if you are suggesting a panel.)

The Gallifrey One discussion panel track (primarily led by attending fans, sometimes with pro attendees as well!) is a very popular part of the convention, and last year nearly 75% of our panel topics were suggested by fans. Send us your ideas, along with a short description of each topic and any other information you care to share, via our Contact Us page.

We’re looking for cool and unique panel topics that lend themselves to an hour-long discussion led by a group of panelists and participated in by the audience.

We’re *not* looking for: lectures by speakers on individual topics (we do that separately with attending guests); live podcast shows/tapings; promotions for individuals, companies, bloggers or videographers (we do them sometimes but not as part of our discussion track); panels about individual TV shows (other than Doctor Who) or films; or panels that are not in some way related to Doctor Who or the SF/fantasy/comics/gaming/cosplay/fandom genre.

Remember: this is for fan discussion panel topics, not for requests for Q&As or behind-the-scenes presentations or screenings. Gallifrey One, like our sister fan conventions, is not a BBC sanctioned event.

Ad Reservations for 2017 Program Book

Space reservations for advertising in our Gallifrey One 2017 Program Book have now opened. We sell a limited number of ads in our booklet, which is distributed to every person who attends the convention (currently this would be over 3800 books!) Ads must be genre-specific: science fiction, fantasy & horror literature, media or comics, as well as conventions and events, fan clubs, or items of suitable interest to our attendees.

The specifications are as follows:

Ad space is full page only, digest sized: 5.5″ wide by 8.5″ high.

Camera-ready art must be 5″ wide by 8″ high, black and white only, in PDF, JPG, PNG or TIF format only (no Microsoft Word files!)

Rates are $140 USD for a full page (5.5″ x 8.5″) advert; we do not do half-page ads or smaller.

The theme of your advertisement must fall within our acceptable range of advertisers: Doctor Who, science fiction/fantasy or genre merchandise; fan events and/or conventions; fan organizations; or, books or periodicals germane to the SF/F community.

Please contact us via our Contact Us page to reserve space in our Program Book (and please be prepared by letting us know exactly what it is you wish to advertise).
