Before getting the device to release in the marker for normal users, the Galaxy S6 has been rooted via Chainfire, a very popular tool that gives root privilages to many devices. The method of rooting is applicable on SM-G920T and SM-G925T – the T-Mobile US S6 and S6 Edge.

According to a Google+ post by Chainfire reveales that the rooting process is quite simple and doesn’t take much time achieve root on Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge Family (model numbers are mentioned above).

Before actually rooting though, consider that KNOX will likely be tripped, and there’s a good chance untripped KNOX will be required for phone based payments.
