Some recent mind-blowing leaks suggest that Huawei is seriously preparing to launch a killer flagship nine days from today. The upcoming Huawei Mate 9 has received some more leaks that just pinpointed it as one of the best smartphones launched in 2016. Huawei and Leica have also collaborated as with the P9 and P9 Plus in the terms of camera improvement, but this time, Huawei’s Mate 9 is reported to come upgraded featuring a 20MP and 12MP rear-facing Leica-made cameras.

What’s known about the Huawei Mate 9 phone mostly comes as a result of a recent appearance on the GFXBench, where is confirmed that its size will measure 5.9 inches and sport the FHD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. But that’s not all – Mate 9 is said to come running on the 64-bit octa-core HiSilicon Hi3660 processor (Kirin 960) with up to 6GB of RAM and equipped with 256GB of storage. The handset will be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI skin on top.

The thrilling parts about the Mate 9 are the featured cameras. Huawei will equip the Mate 9 with a 20MP and 12MP Leica cameras on the rear for recording 4K videos and a 7MP front-facing selfie snapper that shoots FHD videos. Featured cameras on the Huawei Mate 9 are said to be better than those in the Samsung Galaxy S7. And the shocking feature is related to the charging technology, the Mate 9 is rumored to feature a Supercharge technology that will charge the handset 100% in just 10 minutes of charging time.

The Mate 9 smartphone is reportedly said to come debuting the company’s rumored Kirin 960 chipset. The benchmark listed the chip as the HiSilicon Hi3660 powered by four Cortex-A53 and four ARMv8 CPU cores clocked at 2.6GHz paired with Mali-T880 GPU and backed by 4GB and 6GB of RAM. What’s known for the phone’s connectivity features involve NFC, GPS, and Fingerprint (top-notch connectivity is housed).

Huawei Mate 9 is expected to come in three versions, the 4GB of RAM with 64GB storage will be the standard edition and it will cost $480, the 128GB of storage model with the same RAM will cost $585, and the premium Huawei Mate 9 with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will tag the price of $705. What’s notable with this hi-end smartphone is that it will come very decently priced.

Huawei is expected to introduce the Mate 9 running Kirin 960 on 19th of October and release it for sales sometime in November.
