Survived the first two weeks in my new job and **chorus of angels** I’m loving it. It’s been too tooooo long since I had a job that was the right amount of diverting/interesting/engaging and stretching and with a decent manager to boot. Seriously HALLE*fricking*LUIA!! No job’s perfect but so far this is scoring a very, very nice 8.5/10 on the ‘if I have to work I may as well be doing this’ scale.
First Training Session last night after the can’t breathe debacle of the last fortnight. It was tough going *cue me defiantly refusing to do another 1 minute 7mph interval run irrespective of how entertaining PT was being*. Although cardio wise I’m struggling a bit more than I’d like, I was helped massively by the fact that for the last week or so I’ve had a mile walk between my office and the campus where I have all my meetings so I’ve been doing 2-6 x 1 mile brisk walk intervals during my work days! Fingers crossed they only get around to locating me a desk on campus after December ;-)
Tomorrow is the 1st December – aka THE BIG DAY I’ve been waiting for for agggggggges:
1. I move into my new flat tomorrow and fingers crossed my lovely jubbily bed gets delivered tomorrow too. I get my stuff and life backkkkkkkkkkkkkk :-)) Homeless no more :-)
2. It’s the final month of 12in12 and I have three challenges of my twelve left to complete:
Challenge 10: To go 31 days with no sugar aka stick 100% to paleo (minus 5 glasses of champagne/wine I’m factoring in to get me through my Holiday Celebrations). Totally inspired by 125’s progress on her paleo challenge.
Challenge 11: Complete 120km of running between the 12th and 23rdDecember to coinside with the Official Hope Tour (I say this despite having zero confidence I’m ready for this – PT thinks differently but then again he’s paid to be optimistic in my abilities! Plus -20 degree weather plus ice and snow forecasts for December – doooooooooooooooooom!)
Challenge 12: Do 12 insanely good *anonymous* deeds for unsupectings but shhhhh very hush hush on this – mmmmkay
Here's to a very happy Fitmas :-)
