The future of our interactions exist in our ability to connect. We’ve built the global village and it allows us to connect without borders and encourages information exchange via electronic communication. We are all in the networked economy, which results in the creation of the collaborative economy and the idea that sharing and sourcing is how we will get ahead.

As we are knee-deep in this age and following the footsteps of industry pioneers, here are some resources that might prove to be useful as we continue this journey into a world based on collaborative innovation and sharing.

1. Web Strategy
Founder of Web Strategy, Jeremiah Owyang is a former industry analyst and speaker. His career mission is to help corporations connect with customers using web technologies and was formerly heavy into the social media side of business. Although this was a resource listed under the future of work, this blog focuses on the future of work and how it will be affected by networks. Powered by Ariba, the “Facebook” of business, this blog focuses on the networked economy and how businesses will need to be connected within a global network to remain relevant.

6. Scott Monty’s Blog
Scott Monty is a thought leader and provides insights on the changing landscape of business, technology, communications and marketing, along with what it means for tomorrow’s leaders. He is ranked by Forbes as one of the top ten influencers in social media and has been called “a visionary” from the CEO of Ford Motor Company.

7. Above the Crowd by Bill Gurley
Over the past ten years, Bill Gurley has been a General Partner at Benchmark Capital. Before entering the venture capital business, Bill worked on Wall Street as a top-ranked research analyst. For the past 15 years, Bill has authored the Above the Crowd blog which focuses on the evolution of economics of high technology business.

8. Networked Society Blogs by Ericsson

11. The People Who Share
The People Who Share is on a mission to build a Sharing Economy. They love to help others discover that sharing is: fun, affordable, easy, accessible, mobile and social. 12. Shareable
Shareable is an award-winning nonprofit news, action, and connection hub for the sharing transformation. They work to solve today’s biggest challenges such as how we produce, consume, govern, and solve social problems.

13. Collaborative Cities
Collaborative Cities is a documentary about people living all over. These people live across Europe and North America and share resources, knowledge, skills, facilities and an amazing experience. In addition, the people involved are rebuilding the education, agriculture, transportation, housing and financial sectors. This is an intriguing look into how the collaborative economy is shaping our world

14. Meshing
Meshing is the blog based on Lisa Gansky’s book, The Mesh: Why the Future of Business is Sharing. Gansky, described as a “marketecht” and “impact junky” focuses on breaking traditional business models and creating concepts that work and transform. The Mesh blog brings together concepts of sharing and how things work in today’s networked economy.

As one of the most well-known collaborative companies, AirBnB blog covers everything travel and company-related.  Their blog helps travelers understand how AirBnB works and how to get the most out of the network.

16. Uber Blog
By connecting riders to drivers through their apps, Uber makes cities more accessible, opening up more possibilities for riders and more business for drivers. Since being found in 2009, Uber’s is rapidly expanding global presence continues to bring people and their cities closer.
