Cyber Attacks, Hacking and Census Night

Welcome to the August 2016 edition of the Future Assist Newsletter.

With the security concerns surrounding the Federal Census website and data collection fresh in our minds, the lead topic this month is on Cyber Security. Whilst we all know that the internet is an essential element to our daily lives, through our online banking, communication channels, social media and document storage, the risks and exposure too online security breaches are so often ignored. With a specialisation in I.T. services and support our Group Operations Manager, Trent Murray has provided a great insight into mitigating the risks of personal cyber security breaches..

At a business level, this month’s topic is particularly relevant for the Future Assist Group. As trusted professionals, we are fully aware of the importance of having safe and secure I.T. services to protect our valued clients information. Over the last couple of weeks, you would have noticed the flurry of Census advertisements on both television and online media channels. ‘Get Online on August 9’ was the catch phrase reminding Australians that Tuesday the 9th of August was Census night.
