Take advantage of this opportunity to shop for unique or hard-to-find native plants that are not normally available in most nurseries.

This shopping extravaganza will offer native plant fans a good selection of native plants and provide a more relaxed and less crowded shopping experience than one normally finds at native plant sales. Knowledgeable staff will be on hand to help shoppers select the right plants for their gardens. You do not have to register in order to shop at these nurseries. Concord – Markham Nature Park and Arboreteum, 1202 La Vista Ave., Concord. Come early for the best selection of native forbs, ornamental grasses, shrubs, perennials, and annuals.

Oakland – East Bay Wilds, 2777 Foothill Blvd., Oakland, CA 94601 (the entrance is on 28th Ave.)

Oakland – Friends of Sausal Creek Native Plant Nursery (the nearest address 3594 Sanborn Drive), (510) 325-9006. The Friends of Sausal Creek (FOSC) nursery grows natives from locally collected seeds and cuttings, primarily for use in habitat restoration projects around the Sausal Creek Watershed in Oakland. The nursery is volunteer-based, and has plants available for purchase only once a year. Available for purchase will be more than 80 species native to California; come early for best selection. The nursery is located in Joaquin Miller Park on Sanborn Drive.
