From self-driving cars to surgical assistance, from scientific research to search and rescue missions—robots are here to help ease and improve our lives. Robot Revolution comes to life with a collection of 40 cutting-edge robots curated from some of the most innovative global robotics companies and universities, more than half of which can be interacted with or operated.
The exhibit offers four sections dedicated to robotic smarts, skills, cooperation and locomotion.
A small sample of what visitors can do inside Robot Revolution include:
Step inside a simulated self-driving Google Car to experience a virtual drive and learn how autonomous vehicles operate using LiDAR sensors.
Cheer from the sidelines as teams of soccer ‘bots compete in an ultimate game of autonomy.
Maneuver Rhex, the all-terrain crawling robot, developed locally by the University of Pennsylvania.
Face off with Baxter, a tic-tac-toe-playing ‘bot.
Challenge a robot to a game of “21”.
Watch “Cube Solver” solve a Rubik’s Cube® right before your eyes.
Feel PARO®, a therapeutic baby seal robot that reacts to your touch, and learn the ways this robot is used to help the emotional and physical health of medical patients.
Program a robotic arm.
See experienced robot specialists adjusting sensors, wires and batteries on the robots in the RobotGarage, an open tech space within the exhibit.
Experience the interactive live drone show, Drone Zone.
