I love trying out the latest beauty products. I’m not what you would consider a “beauty junkie” but I do like to put some effort into my look. By using the tips below, I am able to get a lot of free makeup every year. I don’t think I have actually paid for makeup or cosmetics in over 3 years. I get full sized, brand name makeup not just cheap samples, either. Read on to learn how to get free makeup and save a bundle every year.

PF Insider

If you are a fan of Physician Formula cosmetics, then you should sign up for the PF Insiders Program. They will send you their newest products to try in the mail. All they want is for you to spread the word and give them feedback on their Facebook or Twitter pages as to how you liked the product. It is free to sign up.

L’Oreal Consumer Testing Panel

I have been a member of the L’Oreal Consumer Testing Panel for a couple of years. They send you surveys to see if you are a good match for any of their testing panels. If you are, they will send you some things to try out like makeup, hair care, hair color, moisturizers, etc. I have been sent several mascaras and lipsticks to try out. You then fill out a follow up survey and they send you “thank you” gifts as compensation. They will send high end products from brands like Lancôme! You won’t get picked for every panel but keep taking the surveys!

The Pink Panel

The Pink Panel is another consumer research group. I haven’t had much luck with this program because their studies fill up very quickly but you may get lucky. They send you surveys to see if you are a good match and will then send you a product to try out. They usually include a stipend ranging anywhere from $50-$200!

Coupons

This is how I get most of my free makeup. I usually get the best free makeup at the drugstores, CVS is my favorite. I just match up the coupons with the sales and can usually score free makeup! You just have to watch the sales ads and you can even check out the websites of your favorite makeup brands as they tend to have printable coupons you can use.

Social Media

You can follow your favorite makeup brand on Facebook and Twitter to get some free makeup. They will usually hold giveaways or free sample events on the pages. I know that Physicians Formula holds giveaways monthly for full sized products. I have won a couple of them but you do have to be quick once they go live.

Rebates

Make sure to check makeup brand’s websites monthly for any new rebates they may be offering. If you pair the rebates with sales, you can score free makeup. I know that Physicians Formula offers a lot on their website and L’Oreal has the Gold Rewards program where you get a free hair color every time you buy 5. Just Google “Makeup Rebates” and you should get quite a few results.

Referral Programs

There are a lot of sites that offer referral programs. You just get your friends to sign up using your link and you get a credit when they sign up or buy something. You can use the free credit towards makeup or whatever else you want. The referral programs that offer makeup and cosmetics that I know of are (these are my affiliate links so if you sign up with them, you will get a credit if it specifies!):

Rue La La: Get a $10 credit when they make their first purchase

Truth Art Beauty: For each friend you invite, they will credit your account with a $15 coupon after your friend’s first purchase has shipped. There is no limit to the amount you can earn.

HauteLook: For each friend you invite, get a $20 credit when they make their first purchase.

My Habit: You and each friend who accepts your invitation earn $20. They will credit your account when their first order ships.

Ideel: You’ll receive $25 credit every time a friend you invite to join ideel makes their purchase.

The RealReal: Get a $25 credit each time a friend makes their first purchase.

Beyond The Rack: $10 credit at the first purchase of each friend you invited.

Just save up all of your credits and get free stuff! If you know of any other referral programs, please let me know and I will add them to this list.

Email Companies

A lot of times you can get coupons or even free product coupons if you just email your favorite makeup companies. Just go to their website and fill out the customer service contact form. Give them a compliment, let them know how much you love their products, or give them some feedback. You can ask if they offer coupons or samples and 9 times out of 10, they will send you some!

Those are all of the ways I get my free makeup. I have a whole drawer in my bathroom full of it! I hope you can use some of these ideas and look glamorous while still keeping a full wallet. No one needs to know that it was free ;). If you have any other ideas that you use, let us know in the comments. I would love to hear what you do!
