I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this (;-)) but travel is a huge part of our plans for 2017!
At the moment we’re saving hard to make it all happen and I think we’re going to be able to manage to squeeze in at least one other break other than the ones we have planned. New York and Milan don’t strike me as relaxing breaks so I’m on the lookout for somewhere relaxing for me but with enough to do for the kids while I’m relaxing. It also needs to be affordable which is why we thought we’d have a look at some holiday parks in Europe.
We’ve heard some great reports of amazing family holidays in these kinds of holiday parks and they seem to offer some excellent options for cheap holidays. Use of all facilities, the entertainment and the accommodation are included and, most seem to have excellent entertainment programmes that would appeal to the kids and Mr Frugal which would allow me the luxury of relaxing in the spa or just around the pool with my Kindle!
I’ve managed to make a bit of a round up of our top 10 cheap holiday parks so you can see what I mean…..
Roompot Vakantiepark Weerterbergen
This holiday park, situated in the rich woodland of southeastern Holland, offers all the ingredients for a perfect family holiday. The list of facilities is extensive, from a subtropical swimming pool to a bowling alley to an indoor and outdoor sports centre. If you want to venture outside of the park, you can rent bicycles and explore the gently rolling hills of Limburg. The accommodations range from 4 person cottages to 14 person holiday houses and are all fully furnished to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Landal De Lommerbergen
Landal holiday parks generally offer excellent alternatives to Center Parcs, if you’re looking for something a little less expensive. Landal De Lommerbergen is our top pick because the facilities are excellent for families, the spa and wellness centre is perfect for the grown-ups and the surroundings are filled with the history, culture and beautiful nature that you’d expect from Holland. What’s more, the reviews are consistently high and the prices are consistently low, so you can’t really go wrong.
