Our Dallas client is looking for a Assistant Controller/Sr. Accounting Manager on a direct hire basis.
About the Job
An international steel and metals distributor supplying products primarily to the energy sector (oil & gas), but with an extended portfolio that includes domestic production, real estate, and other investments, joint ventures (JV’s) and holdings. The organization is entrepreneurial and maintains a business model of flexibility and limited overhead.
POSITION:
This position is a new role created to assist and support the accounting functions of the company and group of companies managed. The ideal candidate is adept at creating structure and then rolling out accounting systems and change through interdisciplinary groups, and has high aptitude / highly motivated with potential to grow and take on new challenges including business leadership. This position is a growth position with increasing responsibility over time. The role will oversee several of the listed areas:
Taxation
Costing and financial analysis through MS Excel exports and reporting
Document control; cash flow control – management of AP/AR and collections
Treasury
Banking and credit management
Intacct accounting software solution integration with ERP
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting REQUIRED; Master’s Degree PREFERRED
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) STRONGLY PREFERRED
MS Excel expertise REQUIRED
Distribution or Manufacturing accounting experience REQUIRED
5 – 10+ years of progressive accounting experience REQUIRED
IntAcct Accounting Software PREFERRED
Tax experience PREFERRED
Standard Costing expertise PREFERRED
Financial Reporting competency REQUIRED
Strong and smooth ability to communicate with customers REQUIRED
Willingness to extend work hours REQUIRED
International Business and trade accounting experience PREFERRED
