Our Grand Prairie, TX client is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator.

Responsibilities:
Initiates and coordinates all exempt and non-exempt recruitment for the distribution center and care center

Hosts and participates in job fairs and related functions to generate job applicants.

Writes job specifications for recruitment advertising, for media sources, and internal job postings to publicize job openings.

Develops productive relationships with college and university placement offices, external search firms, civic organizations, vocational schools, and high schools.

Conducts new associate orientations and monitors associate performance during training period.

Monitors, documents, and ensures compliance with human resources policies and procedures. Communicates policies and procedures for distribution center associates.

Assists Director of Operations in resolving policy and procedure related issues.

Represents distribution center at unemployment, workers’ compensation, or EEOC hearings in coordination with the Legal Department.

Supports and assists in the coordination of all associate relations activities.

Develops business relationships within the community; initiates and coordinates all community events and activities.

Positively represents the Company’s culture, history, benefits, and positions to candidates considering employment and positions to candidates considering employment. Partners with the Human Resources department in administering the non-exempt wage and benefit program; supervises payroll and check disbursement function. Interprets and explains benefits available to the associates.

Manages workers’ compensation cases. Maintains all related workers’ compensation documentation and record keeping.

Ensure safety-training standards are met and assists in making the distribution center a safe environment to work in for all associates.

Advises and counsels line management on the administration of the performance management process.

Participates in the discipline and discharge of associates as necessary.

Establishes sound process improvement initiatives that drive year over year improvement.

Flexibility to work variable shift.

Perform in a manner consistent with company Vision, Mission Statement and Operating Principle.

Any other responsibilities deemed essential.

Requirements:

2-5 years human resources experience or equivalent

Bachelors degree preferred

Proficient with MS Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
