Frontline Source Group – temporary staffing and direct hire firm – is looking for an Marketing Communications Manager for our Dallas, TX client on a direct hire basis.
General Overview
The position of the Marketing Communications Manager (MCM) is responsible for the overall marketing and promotion of the company’s products in North America.
The MCM will provide marketing leadership and guidance to multiple sales teams located in the geographic areas mentioned above. This will involve the proper positioning, promotion and sale of the company’s products according to the annual sales goals established by each sales group.
The MCM reports to the North American Vice-President of Sales and provides ongoing updates and status of marketing and promotional programs to him, and as requested, to the company’s Executive Management Group.
The MCM is responsible for ensuring the brand is effectively used and correctly implemented for North America based sales and manufacturing profit centers, according to standards issued from time to time.
The MCM works collaboratively with channel, sales, product and marketing staff at other locations around the world.
Major Duties and/or Responsibilities
New Product launches
Plan and execute marketing aspects of new product introduction policy, working with and supporting each Product Manager in the development and introduction of new products, covering such marketing disciplines as product, price, place and promotion Write Marketing Campaign Specification as part of product launch plan.
Provide insight and recommendations for providing sustaining marketing and promotional efforts for existing products.
Identify and work with individuals and organizations external of the company to understand the marketplace for the broad application of all major products in the company portfolio. This also includes learning the needs of multiple customer segments in order to determine proper product positioning, communication message and mix of promotions.
Create, develop and implement an assortment of marketing communication programs, including advertisements, direct mail, catalogs, brochures, newsletters, data sheets, internet promotions, point-of-sale material, sales promotion and public relations aimed at a variety of different markets and customer segments. This process is “turnkey” involving the creation, copywriting and production of all material.
Identify and manage a diverse group of external vendors according to “best practice” standards, including creativity, quality, fair price, on-time delivery and any other qualification criteria deemed necessary by the department.
Provide assistance, direction and promotional material development for two additional company subsidiaries.
Manage and continually improve the company’s customer lead inquiry system for a variety of different markets and customer segments. Provide analysis reports and commentary on a scheduled basis.
Develop and manage according to Channel Manager guidelines, annual budgets totaling in excess of $1 million dollars. Regularly monitor spending, provide reports and make adjustments as necessary.
Define and determine annual trade show, conference and event schedule for multiple sales teams. Organize and manage the participation at each event. Provide a variety of special promotions to assure maximum turnout and lead results from each event. Monitor effectiveness and provide reports on results in a timely manner.
Organize and manage annual North American Sales Meeting according to established budget, content and participation involvement.
Background and Skill Set Requirements
Essential
Bachelor of Business degree required with full knowledge and understanding of marketing and marketing communication concepts.
Minimum of five years of hands-on management experience in a technical business-to-business marketing environment, to include people management.
Ability to effectively communicate and work with technical professionals and/or electrical engineers in the areas of sales, product management, application engineering support, design engineering and manufacturing.
Must possess strong writing and verbal skills, including the ability to regularly prepare copy for a variety of sales aids and promotions, as well as review and edit copy provided by other individuals.
Skilled in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Preferred
Knowledgeable in the use of Agility CMS platform, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop
Knowledge of the use and maintenance of Gold Mine and/or SAP CRM
Written and spoken Spanish and/or Portuguese language
Masters degree with a business or marketing specialization
Degree or other qualification in electrical engineering
Postgraduate qualification in electronic marketing
Travel 20% of the time and/or as required.
