Hi! I'm Dustin from Armadillo Dreams. For those who haven't heard of us I'll tell you a little about us...
Armadillo Dreams (http://armadillodreams.com & http://armadillodreams.etsy.com) makes Waldorf inspired handmade wooden toys. We create baby toys, toddler toys and kids toys. Everything we sell is made from natural materials, is friendly for little hands and is handmade with love! We believe it's important for children to have high quality, natural, simple Waldorf toys that they can dream, imagine and play with.
Armadillo Dreams started in late 2010. We started the shop after I discovered a passion for woodworking during the summer that year while building a backyard chicken coop. We always wanted more wooden toys for our children, but didn't have a lot of money. Amanda had already been selling on Etsy for about 5 years with her shop Wild Plums (http://wildplums.etsy.com). We combined Amanda’s artistic skills and knowledge of Etsy with my passion for woodworking and Armadillo Dreams was born.
We have some exciting news! Over the summer of 2013 we decided to change how we were doing things. We went from having everything in our shop being "made to order" (orders were shipped out in 7-10 days) to everything in our shop being "ready to ship" (orders now shipping out in 1-2 days). With this change we won't be showing our full 200 toy line up at all times due to having sold out toys, but we will be working to remake toys when they do sell out and what we do show will be ready to ship out at that moment. This is especially nice for our customers who need their orders in a hurry for a birthday that is right around the corner or things like that.
This change also give us more time to work on creating new toys! It's been a while since we have had much time to work on new toys and we are very excited to be able to. We actually just released some new fall and Halloween toys (http://armadillodreams.com/fall-halloween-toys).
